ADVENT Shieldbearer

Much like the ADVENT Trooper they are augmented human males. However, these units are trained for defensive and supportive roles. While their generic counterparts are taught to engage in long-distance combat, they are taught to aid their allies by any means necessary.

Like the ADVENT Trooper they use stun rifles to subdue enemies and take them in. However, they are outfitted with heavy armor and shield projecting technology. In combat, they are capable of engaging defensive shields on themselves and their allies. When battling XCOM agents, they will attempt to overtake them in a war of attrition, and in victory, they will claim their prize, using energy fields as makeshift stockades to fuck them into submission right then and there.
