A woman with her own MotherBoard

Whatever you were expecting to find when you entered the back room, it certainly wasn't what you see now. Sitting on a chair across from Carly is a slender, attractive brunette typing on a laptop, adjusting her wide-framed glasses as she did so. This must be the 'witch', since they were the only two women in the room, though she was more of a 'cute nerd chick' than 'mystic witch'. Curious to see what's going to happen, you make it so that neither girl notices you while you're in the room and observe her in action.

"Okay, so I think I figured out a way to fix your bad breath," she said, closing the laptop and looking at the obese woman across from her, "But I can't pin down what's causing the gas. You sure that's part of this curse?"

"Yes!" Carly says emphatically to her, "I've never been this gassy in my life!"

"Okay, okay, jeez," she says, reaching into a bag on the floor next to her and pulling out a water bottle with 'magic potion' crudely written on it with marker, "Well, like I told you before, this magic is too powerful to remove. However, if you drink this, you'll be fine as long as you stay hydrated."

"Oh thank you, thank you!" Carly says, not seeming to realize how obvious of a scam this is. Instead, she downs the entire bottle with the fervor of someone dying of thirst.

"See? Better already," the witch tells her, "Now you'll only have bad breath if you-"

It's at this point the witch looks directly at you, "Hey, who are you?"

You freeze, too shocked to speak. Did your last change not go through? You do it again, but the witch is still looking at you and tapping her foot, waiting for a reply.

Carly turns in your direction as well, but unlike the witch doesn't seem to notice you, her eyes instead darting around the room in curiosity, "Who are you talking to, Shannon?"

Shannon furrows her brow, then opens her laptop again. Curious, you start to approach her, only for her to say, "Don't move."

Carly, thinking that Shannon was speaking to her, freezes in place, inconveniently making it harder to maneuver around her thanks to her bulk and the narrow room. By the time you manage your way around, Shannon seems to have come to a realization.

"Sorry Carly, thought I heard someone outside," she says. She glances at you for a brief moment, then tells Carly, "Go back out and see if my potion worked, and try to figure out what's triggering you to fart. Once you do, I can make a potion to help."

Carly nods, then leaves the room. Once the two of you are alone, Shannon looks at you again and says, "I'm guessing you're responsible for the new uniform around here. And for what's happening with Carly."

You raise a brow and ask, "How do you know that?"

"Probably the same reason you got in here and saw what Carly actually just drank," she said, turning her laptop screen so you can see. On it, you see the MotherBoard web page open on a profile on you, with a 'Locked' banner at the very top on the page. Curious, you focus on changing Shannon specifically, only to see an identical banner hovering just above her head.

"Wait, so you can see what I've changed?" you ask her.

"Yup," she says, turning the laptop back to herself, "Just like you can see the alterations I've made. Though annoyingly enough, I can't undo any of those changes either, hence my trouble dealing with Carly."

"Why even help her?" you ask, "She's a massive bitch."

"Yeah, but she's my massive bitch," she explains with a disappointed frown, "She didn't even notice me until I used the MotherBoard to make myself prettier. This whole 'witch' thing was an excuse I planted in her head to get close to her and start messing with her myself, but I see that you beat me to the punch. Sure, I can convince her that constantly drinking water until she pisses herself in public can solve her problems, but it's just not the same when she's already been fucked over by someone else."

Well this is certainly an interesting development. Shannon seems to have just as big of a grudge with Carly as you do, but you managed to take the joy of vengeance away from her. Though right now you're more concerned with there being another person out there with MotherBoard access. Who knows what she's already changed, or what she plans to do next? At least she doesn't seem to be as experienced as you since she hasn't yet figured out the trick that allows you to make changes without the use of a computer, but she could still use it to make things more difficult for you even if she can't change you directly. On the other hand, you might be able to convince her to work with you instead of against you. After all, two heads are better than one... assuming they actually like each other, that is.
