A woman returns home

As I crossed a driveway, I stopped and admired the house, then I heard a car horn. I turned and saw a woman who wanted to turn into the driveway. I stepped aside, and as she drove by I held up the camera. She stopped, and I took her photo.

"Park the car and come back and talk to me."

"Sure thing."

The woman pulled her Mercedes into the driveway and parked it. She got out and walked to me.

"I'm John. Is this your home?"

"I'm Veronica, and yes, this is my home."

"Do you live here with your husband?"

"No, just my kids when it's my week. I'm divorced, and my husband only lives a mile away, and we swap kids every week."

"Are you kids home this week?"

"No, they're with him."

"Interesting," I say.
