(In this path, riker could end up with anyone?)
Riker pulled a large white dress from the box and immediately realized what he was holding.
“Why did she have this? Was she getting married?”
“Not that I’m aware…” Troi said “maybe you should try it on?”
Riker looked at her.
“No… are you out of your mind?”
“Who knows… one day you might end up someone’s wife… wearing that for real. You might even be Mrs. Troi” she teased.
“Deanna I am Not in the mood…”
“I know… I know… look… you… get some rest or something… when you’re ready to talk… I’ll be waiting…”
She left and riker looked back at the dress on the box. He gave it a look over. It was very pretty. He still couldn’t figure out why Langley had it. No one mentioned she was engaged. Then again… who was he to judge.
The dress was silk. With a bit of poof to the skirt… he suddenly felt a strange thought enter his head. He was kinda curious what it would be like to wear it.
