A strange alien artifact

As a spaceship flew through space, it's engine preparing to jump into hyperspeed which requires the occupants to be inside cryogenic pods for the journey ahead.

But just before that, a scientist is fiddling with an alien artifact that they found floating in a ruined Alien shuttle.

They finally gave up trying to understand it and finally received a call for them to enter their assigned cryopod, but unbeknownst to the scientist the device had activated and as the ship goes through hyperspeed, a wave of colours floated around the ship from the device
