A sneaky lie—you’re snagging Ruby for yourself!

“How was the quiz, Ruby?” you ask, walking up to the sexy redhead. “Bet you something big that I did better than you.”

“You’re feeling cocky today,” Ruby laughs. She points at Vignesh. “This guy’s a genius. Do you really think I dropped a single point on this test?”

“Well then, it looks like I owe you something big,” you say, trying to inject as much innuendo as you can into your voice.

She gives you a flat stare.

You point at your crotch, saying: “Get it, something big? I’ve got to give it to you, since I lost the bet…”

“Yeah, I got it the first time,” she says, making a disgusted face.

With that, she turns away from you, packing her stuff up. A couple seconds later, she’s gone, leaving you standing there with Vignesh.

“That wasn’t what we planned,” Vignesh says, giving you a dubious glance.

“Same idea,” you say. “I would have asked you to join in, once she agreed.”

“But she didn’t,” he says. He folds his arms over his chest and sighs. “You really didn’t do that great of a job helping me.”

“Look man, I’m sorry, but I guess she just wasn’t into us,” you say, shrugging. “Can’t always do much about that. Sometimes you swing and you strike out.”

“I’m done with this class,” Vignesh says, sounding more than a bit disappointed. “Guess I’m never seeing Ruby again. Damn.”

And with that, he’s gone too, leaving you alone and wondering if you could have somehow done better.
