A small town in the middle of nowhere

You ride the train until you reach your destination, on edge and paranoid that someone was going to get you. It wouldn't take long for the clinic to give their video footage to the center and it wouldn't take too long to figure out where you went. Knowing you can't stay in the town you ended up in, you begin to distance yourself from anything in your old life.

It starts when you pick up some hair dye, a shade of purple your father never let you get. Now that you don't have to listen to him, you can finally do it. A few hours later, you can't tear your eyes away from the mirror. But you have to keep moving.

You hitch hike from the city you got off at to a small town you've never heard of. Red Oaks is the name and you're in love. It's pack full of flowers and trees and no one seems to notice you're there. And no one should recognize you. On top of dying your hair, you had picked up some contact lens that changed your eyes from gray to brown and you had completely changed your clothes, disposing of the ones you wore quickly.

For tonight, you settle down in an old barn in the middle of an apple orchard. You're safe, for now, and your future is for you to decide now.
