Next thing Mina knew, she was being taken upstairs and shoved into one of the bedrooms with nothing to cover her save the rope she had been tied up with and the gag that had been shoved into her mouth. When one of the maids brought in a chamber pot for Mina to use during the night, the other maids took mercy on her and untied her but not before tying one of her arms to a bedpost.
Then they left, locking the door behind them, at which point Mina spat out her gag and started to use her free hand to untie the rope attaching her to the bedpost.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," said an unseen voice.
"Who's there?" asked Mina.
"Susan, of course," said the voice. "Susan the Maid. You must have seen me lots of times."
"I have?" asked Mina.
"No, I'm just kidding," said Susan. "I'm usually invisible when you visit. But I'm pretty sure you'd remember me if you ever saw me when I was visible."
"Well, anyway, Susan, I have to get out of here," said Mina. "Something's wrong with your mistress and if I don't get out of here and find help, she'll going to be in terrible danger."
"Quite frankly, you should be the one who's worried about being in danger," said Susan. "Dr. Seward works at the local mental hospital and she and Mistress Westenra are good friends. After that stunt you played with poor Tara just now, you'll be quite lucky if Mistress Westenra doesn't have you committed tomorrow."
"Tara attacked me, Susan," said Mina. "Not vice versa. And the only reason she did so was because your mistress told her to."
"So that's the way you want to play it," said Susan. "Very well, Have it your way, Mistress Murray. And by the way, good night."
"Good night?" asked Mina. "What do you mean by --"
But then something hit Mina on the head and knocked her **** before she could finish her question.

The next morning, the birds were singing outside the bedroom window and Mina had one heck of a headache plus a knot on the top of her head that came from heaven knows where.
For a while, everything seemed peaceful. Then Mina realized that she was still naked. And if she were naked, that meant that her memories of the night before were not a dream. And that she had to get out of this room before the doctor came.
"Knock, knock," said a voice on the other side of the door. "Dr. Seward is here. I hope you've made yourself decent, Mina, because -- Oh, who am I kidding? I'm sure you'll make quite an impression on her dressed just the way you are now."
