A popular girl from her old school

Kirsten felt like there was no right choice. Anyone she would invite would forever be a stranger to her. So instead of thinking about the relationship she shared with people, she considered all old classmates that she would never see again. There were a few guys that would leave town after high school, but Kirsten wasn't comfortable with inviting a boy here.

Instead there was one girl, Brittney, who was leaving the town this summer to go to college. She was popular and had lots of friends, excluding Kirsten. They never really talked.

But if Kirsten was going to choose anyone, it would have to be her.

"Brittney," said Kirsten. "She leaves town in a few weeks probably, so I probably won't see her again anyways."

"Do you have her number?" asked Sarah.

She nodded in response and shared the phone number with Sarah. She left to her office to call her which left Kirsten all alone in the main area waiting for the indirect response. She wondered what Sarah would say to lure her here. Hopefully not too far from the truth.
