A pair of nerdy girls

With Ranko's confidence reduced to practically nothing, Nabiki had no reason to pick her appointments carefully and was now being less secretive and more straight forward with her offers. She started preying on insecurities and offering her services like she was selling quick and cheap plastic surgery.

A couple days after her appointment with the rich girl, she had another with a younger classmate who wanted to shed a few pounds and get rid of her shiny complexion, so she could be ready for summer. She wasn't ugly, by any stretch, but she was fed up with her naturally oily skin. She couldn't pay up fast enough when Nabiki quoted her a price, and in no time, Ranko was sitting across from her watching her scrawny body fill out.. But now, her figure was filling with fat, not muscle. It was a warm, relaxing sensation for once, but it didn't calm her at all to see her scrawny body grow soft around the edges, giving her a more average figure instead of a scrawny one.

Before all of this, Ranko never had to worry about her complexion or her hair or weight, but without any confidence she was feeling more and more self-conscious about her looks. The glossy complexion only drew more attention to her rounded face and freckle-covered cheeks. Seeing herself in the mirror after the appointment made her think that if it wasn't for her huge breasts, she wouldn't be considered the least bit pretty anymore. Nabiki offered a backhanded compliment by telling her that she'd never have to worry about Kuno chasing after her now.

Afterwards, Nabiki treated Ranko to a small surprise in the form of a small sum of money. With that last appointment, Ranko's debt to Nabiki was completely paid off. She didn't have to keep working with Nabiki, but the promise of more money and a chance to eventually set her life straight kept Ranko from quitting, just yet. She was too afraid to anger Nabiki by cutting her off from any potential money anyways.

That feeling of dread only got worse when Nabiki's next appointment came only a short while later, that same afternoon. Ranko recognized the girl as one of the very passionate members of the animation appreciation club. She was a total nerd, through and through. She'd won some prize money through some silly contest and decided that what she really wanted was to be a martial artist, like the heroines in her favorite shows.

Ranko sat there, fidgeting nervously as the girl explained that she wanted to do something about her voice and her weight and that she wanted to be able to fight. Nabiki stared at the ledger for a moment before explaining that the sort of skill she wanted would require her to give up some knowledge instead, looking somewhat surprised by the revelation herself. The otaku girl was **** but offered up her passion and encyclopedic knowledge of anime and video games in exchange. This was her dream, after all. If she was going to be a martial artist, then she wouldn't have time for other hobbies. She seemed ****, but also kind of excited, while Ranko was just **** and terrified.

Ranko started to say something to stop Nabiki, but a flash of fear shot through her. What if Nabiki decided to stop entirely and just walk away from her? It's not like she had much else that was valuable to the greedy girl. What if she decides to stop helping her because she's always complaining? She resettled in her seat and stared at the nerdy girl, only occasionally glancing at Nabiki. She flinched when ledger snapped shut to start the transaction.

The nerdy girl was fairly chubby, but once the weight started to melt off, Ranko was surprised to see a fairly strong body hidden beneath her pudge. All those days spent running around Akihabara and anime conventions, hauling heavy bags of merchandise had been like training for her. Ranko's body was the recipient of every single extra pound of fat the nerdy girl had on her, totaling 54 pounds that filled out and padded the weakened martial artist's body. There wasn't a single hint of muscle to be seen on her now chubby body. Her thighs turned thick and soft, losing the slight gap between them while her butt ballooned out, creating a generous curve that bumped her up in her seat by a couple inches. The waistband of her school uniform cut into her her soft belly as it swelled into a doughy ball. Her breasts grew even larger, pushing firmly against the front of her top. Her face filled out further, hiding a bit of her slim neck under a ring of fat and making her shiny cheeks plump out more.

Ranko gasped and groaned, looking in horror at her plumped up body, only to be shocked again by the nasal, higher pitch to her voice. She clamped her mouth shut with one hand, but had trouble forming any words anyways. Her mind was reeling as a lifetime of martial arts study and training were vanishing from her memories, being replaced with marathon sessions watching different anime series, staying up all night playing video games, and loving every minute of it.

Ranko watched the once-nerdy girl leap up from her seat and perform a somewhat shaky backflip that she just barely landed. She proceeds to perform a few quick kata that are also a little less than perfect, but she seems amazed by herself either way. With all the knowledge on how to hone and train her body, even an average girl like her could become a fearsome martial artist like Ranko used to be, and with her dream-fueled passion and optimism it would be easy for her. Ranko watched her show off, knowing those skills should be hers, but she felt admiration, more than loss. She knows she should be angry that she just lost all of her martial arts skill, but she it feels more like a crazy dream that she could fight like that, instead of something she used to be able to do.
