A night in Stand Up Comedy

I'm backstage listening to the comedian who performs before me. The audience laughs non-stop, totally connected to him.

"Poor of who's going to perform right after him. The guy just ended the chances of someone else being successful today!" I hear the house manager say to the presenter. And then the presenter looks right at me, smiling with pity. I smile shyly at him, pretending to be discouraged but ready for whatever happens...

Obviously he doesn't know about the surprise I prepared for my presentation! He thinks I'm that kind of newcomer who hasn't performed anywhere yet but has a nice text. Well, the text was actually a bunch of collages from the best jokes from the best stand up comedians that I found. And my presentation on the video was very, very rehearsed with my friend Jenny. It was the way I found to get to this stage...

"Thanks, guys! You even made me believe I have some talent!", says the great comedian, getting LOTS of applause. Then he comes backstage and says to me: "Show these guys your best, girl!"

On stage, the presenter introduces me to the audience: "I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to seeing what this new comedian has to show us! With you: LITTLE IVY! ""
