A neighbor finds her

"What in the..."

Makoto had started getting so lost in her own thoughts that she almost didn't notice someone had come up the stairs.

It was an elderly woman who lived in her apartment. She was frozen at the top of the stairs, staring in shock at Makoto.

"H-hi..." Makoto said with a nervous smile. The woman looked her up and down.

"Why are you..." she started.

"It's a long story but there is a rational explanation for this." Makoto said quickly, but the woman gave her a suspicious look.

"Are you one of those...what is it...exhibitionist?" she asked, and Makoto turned red.

"N-no! No no!" Makoto said, shaking her head vigorously. "I-I swear I'm just-"

"I just don't understand." the woman continued, ignoring her. "I swear, kids these days. It's a disgrace." she said, and finally continued down the hall to her apartment.

"No! I really just..." Makoto tried to say, but the woman wasn't listening anymore, giving her a disappointing look as she went into her own apartment. When she was gone, Makoto sighed.

Great, now one of her neighbors thinks she is an exhibitionist. If she told her sister...

She didn't even want to think about the scolding she'd get.

Hopefully nothing else happens before Akira gets back...
