A necklace, held by Jack, a popular football player

Jack was a muscular and popular football player for the school. He had short brown hair and beady blue eyes, broad shoulders, and was 6 feet tall. Naturally, he was intimidating to anyone he came across. Yet he had tried to ask Brianna out a couple of weeks back but got thoroughly rejected and humiliated. It was one of the most humiliating moments of his life, especially considering that he was a rich kid who was used to getting most of the things he wanted in life. Not to mention that he was certainly more misogynistic than most people. He believed that women weren't as capable, and many of his fantasies involved putting them in what he believed was their place as subservient to males.

But one day, he was walking by one of the less upright areas of town when he saw a clean and seemingly unopened box, with a picture of a smartwatch on the cover. He had been particularly curious and took it home with him, and found a brand new smartwatch on the inside along with the necklace and a note. When he tried to turn on the smartwatch though, all he got was the time and the rest a blank screen. So Jack decided to take a look at the note:

Hello stranger,

You seem to have been lucky enough to stumble across a very special necklace. When worn by a subject, the necklace can control all of the subject's actions, emotions, and desires through the smartwatch that you have likely taken a look at already. Choose your decisions wisely, for you have been given a very special gift to be used at your leisure.

At first, Jack had scoffed at it. There was no way that something like this actually existed. He looked at the necklace. It looked so ordinary- just a loop with a light blue crystal. It looked like something cheap one could buy at the dollar store. But he had been too curious, so he decided to try it out on his sister. To his surprise, she was soon begging to help him clean his room! He began to fantasize about how he could use the necklace, especially on Brianna who had humiliated him in public.

He had also found, hidden deeper in the box, a list of instructions. Jack had actually been very lucky to find this. His sister had been wearing the necklace for nearly a week while he had been planning out his course of action, and had become something like his house pet. When the instruction manual fell out of the box when he knocked it over by accident, Jack was surprised. The instructions said that if worn for a week, the necklace's effect would become permanent and it couldn't be removed! He almost immediately removed it from his sister's neck, lest he got into any kind of trouble and tried to reverse all the habits that she might have picked up. Luckily, after a few days, she was pretty much back to normal.

But the whole incident got him thinking about what he could really do with the necklace, especially with Brianna. If the necklace's effect would become permanent after a week, as long as he managed to get her to wear the necklace, she could hold on to some lingering hope that she could be saved, only to have it crushed in the end.

So he began to formulate a plan, and eventually settled on this day, one week before graduation. The instructions had said that the effects of the necklace would be stronger if the subject came into contact with the necklace without wearing it before they did wear it. One week was the perfect amount of time- in 6 days, he would be moving out from his parents to the area where he would be attending university. Brianna would permanently be his plaything, to use at his leisure.

So he grabbed the necklace that Brianna had left on the floor and hurried to run up to her.

Brianna heard something behind her suddenly and turned around slowly, before feeling something being shoved onto her neck.
