A name forms in your head.

“Candy Edwards.” You blurt out suddenly, not sure if you made the name up or if something told you to say it. As you say the name the number A23 suddenly appears on the key. Holding it tightly you add, “Box A23.”

She pulls out a little flip book and says, “Sign here please.” Handing you a pen.

Basically just figuring someone is helping this to work you grab the pen and with a flowing style that doesn't really feel like you, but leaning against the counter with your sexy little body you don't really feel like you much anymore. You finish signing your name and she takes the paper and compares the signature with the one on file. “Looks good, come with me Candy.” She leads you into the vault, helps you open and remove the small long thin box, and then guides you into a small private room with a bench that you can sit down and open the box. “Just call when you are finished.”

“Thank you.” You say, followed by, “Marissa.” After reading her name tag. Alone you pull open the box and look inside. The first thing you pick up is a stack of hundreds, counting you find a total of twenty five. “$2500, nice.” Under the money you find something surprising, a white plastic card, as you pick it up however it changes before your eyes into an Iowa state drivers license with your name, picture, and other information you didn't even know. According to the card you are 21, your birthday being October 30th, the very day you changed. It also says you are 5'3” and 95lbs. With blond hair and blue eyes. The next item you pull out is a pair of pieces of paper, both notes.

The first says, “The only thing you can keep out of this box is the magic card. As it is magic it is clean. Always remember blue magic is of man and is usually good, all others are bad, well usually. Everything else we give you is tainted and can be traced. Especially the money, anything you buy with it will inherit the taint of our help. So what you need to do immediately is find a casino, buy in with every last cent then cash out, gotta love modern vices. After that you are on your own. The second says, “Hope you have good luck, you'll need it. This was the best I could do. Now when you leave here don't look back, don't come back, just drive away, hell go wherever, just don't stay here. I made that mistake, thinking I was safe being teleported across the damned country, but you aren't the spells that brought you these things will bring the others. You can stop running eventually, but not now. Go they may already be here.”

“That sounds bad.” You say holding the bundle of hundreds and the license. “Stupid lack of pockets.” You put the notes back in the box, shut it, and head out, not even bothering to tell the girl you are done, suddenly a bit worried you are being followed. As soon as you are outside you spot a taxi and flag it down. There are casino's in this town right?”

“Course there are, ya want a riverboat or an Indian one?” Says the taxi driver, a gruff looking unshaven older dude with scraggly short hair.

“What ever is the closest.” You say slipping into the back seat. The cab pulls away and country music assails your ears. Lying back in the seat you relax and watch the buildings as he drives you to your destination. Finally he pulls up to a glittering casino and stops.

“That'll be $75 miss.

You peel off one of the hundreds and hand it to him as you climb out saying, “Keep it thanks.”

He smiles at the tip and pulls away. Turning you walk into the casino. Instantly you are stopped by a guard that demands, “Id please.” Trying your best to hide the stack of cash you hand him the card. He looks it over, looks you over and finally says, “Happy birthday Miss Edwards.”

“Thanks.” You say flashing him a sweet smile.

“Don't forget to fill out one of our gamers club cards. You can win all kinds of rewards.”

Once again you say, “Thank you.” And head past him into the large overly well lit casino.
