A mercenary

You remember it like it was yesterday. Mainly because it really did happen yesterday. You had suited up for your mission. You wore your favorite power armor, put warpaint on your face, and as is tradition with your people, proudly placed a headband with feathers on your forehead. There were four feathers on it. One for each of the most memorable kills you executed. Today, you were hoping to earn the right to add a fifth.

You had infiltrated the skyscraper your enemy was located in without detection. You silenced a few adversary's with laser arrows from your energy bow. All in all a pretty smooth run ... until the alarm went off. You had no idea who activated it or why, but this meant your quarry was about to flee. The most likely place for him to head to at this point was to the roof, to the shuttle landing pad.

Your hunch was correct, your target was indeed on the roof and a shuttle was incoming. All you had to do was get there.

There was still a stretch of the roof you had to rush through, however. You ran across the roof, shooting your enemy's troops left and right, until you met 'him'. The mysterious man of asian descent you would later capture.

He stood there, waiting for you, with his beam katana in hand. He must have learned you were the legendary assassin, the shadow demon. To you, he was just an obstacle. Your target was right behind him and the shuttle was already landing. You had to finish this quickly.

Admittedly, he gave you a very difficult fight. When you shot at him, he used his beam saber to absorb the lasers you shot. You evaded his attacks as much as you could, hoping you could find a way past his defenses and shoot at your target. But every time you appeared to have a clean shot, you had to abort your attack, lest you be sliced in two by this samurais katana.

Time was running out, the shuttle had already landed and your target was heading in. Finally you found a lucky break. The samai warrior made the mistake of standing in front of a damaged wall. You shot a few arrows at the walls support structures, and he got burried in stones.

The samurai was trapped underneath it. The shuttle with your target inside flew off. You quickly faced the shuttle and shot at it with your bow. Laser after laser hit it until you managed to damage one of it's fuel tanks. The shuttle blew up in the sky and any unlikely survivors awaited a 50 story fall. No way anybody could survive that. Your fifth feather had been earned.

You then turned to your adversary, the samurai. His armor had absorbed most of the damage. He was knocked ****, but otherwise unharmed.

It had been quite a while since anyone gave you a fight as thrilling as this. This guy was a keeper. You took him with you, all the way to your own spaceship. There you kept him locked into a cell until you were ready to have your way with him.
