A little teamwork and luck save the day...so far.

Realizing that all of the Mutants' powers are in severe flux, Black Widow and Mockingbird decide to strike first.

They charge in unison at Gambit, who grabs a handful of cards to charge and throw at them.
They glow and he tosses them...but the effect is wiped out by another surge of energy from the device.

The de-powered cards are no threat and the pair strike him with a high-low (a punch to the face and a kick to the stomach) before he can try to throw more.

From the other side, Pyro tries to intimidate Quake with his flamethrowers.

You see, they are normal, but his powers allow him to manipulate the flame.
He's still a threat, albeit lesser, without his working powers.

Thinking strategically, Quake uses her powers to sense some vibrations in the area around her.
She's looking for one- the plumbing.

She spots it and waits for him to move into position...

When the time is right, she blasts the ceiling above him, causing him to duck as if it was aimed for him.
Before he can boast about 'dodging,' the pipes douse him and his flamethrowers in water, dousing him and his attack.

He is struck down by a solid blast to the face, causing him to flip overhead in a lovely manner.

While that is happening, Colossus runs up and grabs a distracted and/or temporarily-powerless Jubilee and Magma.
With his strength, he places both of them over his shoulders and spanks their asses playfully.
