You look at yourself with your new haircut in the mirror again. You sigh. Perhaps a little nail polish wouldn't hurt. "Okay," you say. "How about pink?"

"Oh, Parker," Mrs. Anderson says, "I'm so happy for you. Very girly. An excellent choice. I've got just the right shade for you."

She sets to work trimming, filing, and polishing your fingernails and toenails plus the rest of the manicure and pedicure. You had no idea how much work was involved in things like this.

When Mrs. Anderson finishes, she says, "There you are, Parker. Now, if you come over to the vanity, I can show you how to do your makeup. Do you want me to just cover up flaws or do you want the full treatment?"
