Chapter 17 by Gatsha Gatsha

What's waiting for Break Girl?

A laboratory chamber where she's Magnet Girl's prisoner!

As the hall went on and on, Break Girl remained unable to break free. The part of the tower she was moving through now was very much an industrial chute, without much to take in. It must not be made of ordinary metals, though: otherwise, she could picture the Mag-Flies getting caught here all the time like regular flies on flypaper. Finally, it reached an end, and she was held suspended as she'd been taken. The room was totally dark, but she could tell it was powering up. One after another, computers blinked to life around her and overhead lights powered on.

The clinically white room revealed itself around her, equal parts scientific and foreboding. Her part of the room seemed to be an enclosed chamber with enormous magnets on all four walls in a cross formation. They weren't the big, U-shaped magnets she'd seen up until now: instead, they were arrays of the large, circular magnets one might expect to see on the end of a crane in a scrapyard. Thinking about that use gave her an ominous feeling, even though the magnets currently seemed to be powered down... There was no doubt in her mind that this was a chamber created for Magnet Girl to destroy Buster Girl in.

Even with those big magnets powered down, the one that had brought her in was still active, and Break Girl was powerless to escape. "Maybe I still have time to destroy these computers before she arrives, though! I'm sure she planned for Buster Girl to try that, and it'll be hard to do in this position, regardless... Still, I have to give it a shot!" {if Magnet to Head = true}Break Girl tried to vocalize the same thought she'd just had by habit, but instead of a garbled stream of gibberish, she found no noise at all was coming out. Her body was still limp, her ordinarily pretty face still stupidly vacant. "Darn it...!"{endif}

As if in response to her futile plan, the magnets at each corner whirred to life. It was nothing compared to what she'd expected, but she could already feel pressure around her to the point that the remaining Mag-Fly holding her superfluous. Even when it disengaged, she'd barely be able to move her arms and legs. In that sad state, she heard footsteps approaching...

Is it time to hear Magnet Girl's villainous introduction?
