It was just after the last shoot and then we had that fight and I forgot to say. I didn't mean to keep it from you." She put emphasis on these last words.

Diana was looking between the two of them clearly enjoying the drama. Tom took a breath and said slowly "I believe you. I would however ask that you try not to forget in future. Especially when you are living under my roof." With those last words he locked eyes with Tom and the corners of his mouth twitched. She returned the look with the slightest nod of appreciation at his use of classic dad lingo.

Diana could sense something but assumed it was dome father inside joke and let it go "You're so stern Tom, it makes me all tingly."

"Sorry" she put a fork full of food in her moth with her eyes locked to Tom's who looked away bashfully.
