A house divided

"Rikka was made by Blackburn tech?" Hina asks suddenly. Her arrival at the door surprises you and makes you jump a little. You turn and face the shy brunette who steps fully through the door now, wearing a black mask over her lower face which covers from her nose down.

"Yeah. With orders from Ms Blackburn herself to inject her into me." You answer. Hina frowns at the response.

"Why you? Why would she infect a living person instead of one of their synthetic people?" She questions you again.

"Synthetic people? What are you on about? Blackburn tech works in bio-engineering... For the government..." Oh. I'm just an experiment. "As I told Sam, we apparently had similar brainwaves. Maybe an AI couldn't function within a synthetic body?"

"What other enhancements did she do to you? How much has she twisted your body already under the guise of helping you?"

"I can react quicker whenever I'm in a fight." You face Sam. "That's why I moved so fast against him, I'm able to perceive the world at a slower pace of time."

"What about your mind control? I know m- Ms Blackburn likes to use that on her subjects at the company." Hina presses once more.

"Mind control? What on earth are you on about Hina?" Sam speaks finally.

"Have you not noticed how strongly you feel when he is around? How your body begins to crave his look and touch only to disappear once he has gone?" Sam avoids your gaze.

"I have..." She mutters and takes a small step away.

"It-" You stop yourself. Would she even believe me at this point? Is it worth trying to convince her... Yes! Well okay then. Wait that wasn't me...

"I assume it is not your brainwaves interfering with ours as even Ms Blackburn has to use implants for them to work like that." Hina continues. "I do not think it is through touch either because I feel it before you touch me."

"That's why you're wearing a mask?" Sam asks.

"It's not mind control." You say, raising your voice.

"It affects my brain, and hers, so what is it Michael?" Hina replies back viciously.

"It's... It... It's a booster. It boosts the positive feelings you're already feeling inside. It doesn't take away the negative emotions it just makes it easier to forget about them through positive emotions occurring easily." You sigh. "And maybe to a higher degree..."

"You can't be serious Michael?" Sam gasps with another step back. You don't answer, you avoid the piercing stare from both of them.

"It is pheromones. His smell makes himself more attractive." Hina explains. You nod silently.

"What the fuck? How do you know so much?" Sam asks Hina.

"My mother works in Blackburn Tower. I have seen a lot." She replies quietly. Behind her in the open doorway the bombshell brunette joins the room.

"Seen any mind control **** in there? Say like, lustful ones that turn people into sex-toys?" Heather asks.

"I do not believe I have. Although I was never allowed into any restricted areas." Hina answers ever so quieter now.

"I might have missed a little bit of what was said but this has something to do with controlling peoples emotions and Michael has it, yes?" Heather tuts at you. "Hand it over and we might just let this slide without involving your family."

"Is that why Lucy acts like that Michael?" Sam suddenly asks. "She already had deep feelings for you, is that why she has become more forceful?"

"You used it on your sister?" Heather exclaims with blushing cheeks.

"It's- Maybe, that might be why Sam. Heather it's not like that okay. I don't have a thing on me it's me, I'm the mind controlling thing." You quickly attempt to pacify their questions.

"I'm so confused then... You can mind control people? Why'd you let this happen? How do you even do it?" Heather's questions start up again. You're thankfully saved by a bell... And by bell you mean your little sister.

"This sounds like we're having a good time. Everyone having fun with my brother without me?" Lucy asks excitedly.

"Stop Lucy!" Sam calls out. "He's using mind control- Not mind control... Fuck it, just stay there!"

"What the fuck do you mean? Trying to keep me and my brother separated again? You must be ready for round two then." Lucy sensually licks her lips after the vicious tone.

"What's with all the shouting in here?" Mom comes in followed by Bella.

"Michael can use mind control or something supposedly." Heather shrugs confused. "He even used it on your daughter."

"This sounds too messed up to deal with right now son. Especially after that whole deal went down earlier. Just hand it over and we can all try to forget about it alright." Mom holds her hand out and approaches.

"STOP! YOU ARE NOT LISTENING!" Hina screams. Her face bright red, she takes a deep breath and continues in a- louder than she usually speaks- normal tone. "He can affect your minds through his smell, you can't breath him in!"

"That's why big brother always smells yummy."

"Lucy!" Mom exclaims. A wall of shouting and yelling surrounds you as everyone starts asking things at once. With everyone talking over each other you can't explain anything as misinformation is spread around and argued against. It's difficult for some of them to believe what it is they are here for.

Some however have had first hand experience with it: Sam, Hina and Mom.

Their shouts are becoming deafening and incoherent. So much arguing all around you. You feel a burning cover your whole body. You begin to sweat as the burning turns from a soothing heat to a painful inferno inside. You drop to your knees. Rikka!

"Perhaps I could be of assistance?" Rikka asks. Her voice sounds both distant and near as she blocks all of the other sound out.

"What do you have in mind Rikka?" You say through gritted teeth, afraid you'll cry out in pain if you don't. Sweat pours down your face leaving your clothes drenched.

"I believe you know where this is going host." She giggles as a familiar sensation of lips on your ear soon follow. "Just remember to have fun." The sound comes back and everyone is stood in a semi-circle around you.

"What did she say Michael? What did Rikka tell you?" Hina cries out.

"I'm sorry." You mutter through the burning. "Leave now..."
