A hero acts!

Naruto couldn't take it anymore, just sitting there while these two were about to drag this Kin girl off for who knows what wasn't something Naruto was going to do. And Naruto figured anything else they were going to talk about Naruto could learn from the girl once he saved her. "Well now, Kin-chan. The master won't like to be kept waiting much longer!", the mummy ninja said as the two started closer to her.

Kin was trapped. The only way out was blocked by her supposed teammates and no one was around to help her. With no weapons on hand and her two teammates drawing closer with each step, all Kin was able to do was shut her eyes and pray someone saved her. 'Someone! Anyone! Please save me!'. Kins thoughts raced as the shadows of her former teammates loomed over her.

Fortunately, it seemed that was the exact moment Naruto sprung into action. "Hey you two, look up~!", a voice called and the two sound ninja's, upon doing so, saw the dozen or so Naruo clones about to dogpile them before they could react. "What the hell!?", was all the mummy like sound ninja was able to say before a clones fists connected to his face, knocking him to the ground.

"Dosu!" the other sound Ninja exclaimed, seeing his teammte hit the ground before he himself was tackled by two Naruto clones. Hearing the sounds of fighting and struggling, Kin peeked an eye open a bit to see solid clones of that Leaf ninja she saw in the exam that day wailing on her ex-teammates in a massive beat down.

A few minutes of this passed and after having their asses handed to them, the clones decided to add insult to injury on the disloyal ninja. "Yeah, tie them up nice and tight! We don't want these two getting away!", a Naruto clone said as a few started to tie the two ninja up in front of Kin.

Dragging the two ninja to a side of the alley, the Naruto clones promptly lifted them and dumped them into a large garbage can and shut the top on them. "That's the way I like to take out the trash!", Naruto said, wiping his hands together after the rest of his clones disappeared in puffs of smoke. Kins legs finally gave out after the exhausting ordeal and she sat in spot as Naruto walked up to her.

"Are all you sound ninja this loyal to each other?", Naruto asked as the girl stared at him for a moment. Tears of relief began welling up in her eyes as she realized she had been saved just moments before. She suddenly tackled him, much to Naruto's shock and surprse, to the ground and began to cry her eyes out and kept thanking him over and over.

Naruto sat there a moment, not entirely sure what to do. Of course he had comforted his girlfriends whenever they were upset, so he figured he should do what he did to make them feel better.

Naruto wrapped his arms around the crying girl and let her get it all out of her system. Every so often saying comforting words quietly to help her along and rubbing her back a bit as she clung to him like a lifeline. Finally, Kin rubbed her eyes with her hand a bit as she said in an emotional voice.

"I must look pretty pathetic right now...", Kin said quietly. "My teammates turn on me, and I get saved by someone I dont even know and comforted by him without even knowing his name.", Kin laughed a bit to herself. "I must look pretty foolish, huh?"

"Not really.", Naruto said, smiling a bit. "I'm just glad you're ok, and so you know, I'm Naruto Uzumaki!", Naruto said as Kin smiled a bit more. "Kin Tsuchi.", Kin introduced herself as she sat against Naruto, still holding onto him tightly. "I guess I owe you my life now, don't I?", Kin asked, making Naruto grin a bit before saying. "Listen Kin-chan, I don't know what that was all about, but I'm guessing you can't go back to wherever you're staying, right?", Naruto asked as Kin shook her head. "I don't want to. All I had there were my weapons... Guess I should have brought them with me today.", Kin said quietly.

"Kin-chan listen, since you don't have anywhere else to go because of this... you want to come to my place for now?", Naruto offered. Kin looked at Naruto a bit as he added to clarify "You know, for the night I mean. Just until this gets sorted out. It's not much, but it's warm and I can promise you a warm meal and bed tonight.". Kin seemed to think it over before saying quietly "I'd like that... Naruto-kun.". Naruto picked Kin up and started to carry her through the village on the short walk to his house.

Along the way, he got a few stares as he carried the girl, but ignored them as he needed to get back to his apartment as quick as he could. Not fifteen minutes later, Naruto opened the door to his apartment. "Well Kin-chan, we're here. Like I said, it's not much, but it's home.", Naruto said as he set the girl down.

"Kin-chan, how about you go take a shower or something and I'll make some food for us, ok?", Naruto asked and a moment later Kin nodded. "That sounds nice, Naruto-kun.", Kin said before being told which door led to the bathroom. Hearing the shower start up, Naruto sighed to himself. Now he had an idea what the sound ninja were like and he for one didn't like it much. "I better tell someone about this. I hope Kurenai-sensei can help.", Naruto said, deciding to tell his teacher about what he had learned tomorrow.

Naruto decided to not do some instant ramen tonight and instead started cooking a can of soup he had bought in a recent trip to the store. Just as he was about to put it in some bowls, he heard Kins voice, "Naruto-kun? Ummm, I don't have anything to change into.", Kins voice called out to him. Naruto, for the briefest moment, had a vision of a Kin clad only in a towel. Somehow managing to shake it off, he responded "Hang on, Kin-chan. Let me find you something.".

Quickly looking around, Naruto found a pair of his old sleeping clothes that should be enough for Kin. Carrying the clothing to the bathroom, Naruto knocked on the door and slightly opened it. "Kin-chan? Here's something to wear, I think it should be about your size...", Naruto said, passing the clothes through the cracked door and Kin was quick to snatch them up. "Thanks, Naruto-kun. Is the food ready?". A hopeful tone in Kins voice made Naruto smile. "Yeah, just come to the kitchen when you're ready"

Naruto retreated back to the kitchen after that and waited a few minutes before he heard Kin returning. "Oh good, Kin-chan, the food is...", Naruto began before seeing Kin standing there with wet hair and the clothes he had given her. The thing was: She was only wearing the shirt that was slightly too big for her and not the pants that went with it, so Naruto had a perfect view of her legs.

"Kin-chan! What are you doing, you're only half-dressed!", Naruto exclaimed as the girl blushed a bit. "The stupid pants kept falling down and the shirts big enough to cover me, so I don't see the problem.", Kin said walking over and sitting right beside him at the table. "Soup?", Kin asked staring at the meal. "Yeah well, it was this or instant ramen. Sorry.", Naruto explained as Kin started to eat.

Naruto was glad to see she at least had an appetite as they shared the small meal, passing a few words between each other as they talked, though Naruto was careful to avoid talking about the incident in the alley for the moment. Finally both bowls laid empty on the table and Naruto smiled. "Well now, that was better then I expected!", Naruto said before Kin interrupted his thoughts.

"Naruto-kun, I have to ask... why did you help me?". Getting a wierd look from him Kin explained. "I'm not from your village, you hardly even knew me, if at all, you had no reason to step in and stop my... I mean Dosu and Zaku...", Kin corrected herself not wanting to remember being on their team. "So why?", she asked.

"Kin-chan, I couldn't just let you be used like that against your will. And besides, to me it doesnt matter if we're not close or not, if someone needs my help, I'm going to do it.", Naruto said smiling at the girl

"In any case, it goes against my nindo to let someone get hurt if I can stop it!", Naruto finished. Kin didn't respond, she looked rather thoughtful after he had told her why he had acted. As he was about to gather the bowls up to wash, Kin spoke quietly. "Naruto-kun...". Looking over at her, Naruto saw her looking at the floor before she suddenly flipped over out of her seat and into his lap, grabbing his shoulder to hold him in place.

"K-Kin-chan!", Naruto stammered at the unexpected move by the girl before he saw her lifting her face so her eyes met his, a blush on her face as she stared into his blue eyes and said "Please Naruto-kun... please let me thank you the best I can.", Kin said before closing the distance between their mouths and catching his lips in a kiss, her eyes shut tightly and missing Naruto's own surprised look.
