A few false answers

Minutes had passed with Courtney thinking and contemplating in the quiet room. Thankfully this gave Tracy plenty of time to do some searching and thinking of what to say next. She kept googling different questions about hallucinations, delusions or any kind of visual misinterpretation. She knew the path she was headed towards as far as the “story” she’d tell goes. It was the reactions that would sell it. That’s how she’d know if she’d succeeded or not, and she was quite confident in her evidence and skills, besides she got this far didn’t she?

She knew something that would get her on the good side of many people, the dean included. It would have to be done over the course of days, weeks even perhaps, but it would be worth it. She walked over to her teacher. “It looks like there are a few logical explanations that could possibly cause your... whatever’s going on.” Courtney looked up in a curious fashion. She was both interested and intrigued to know what might be happening. Tracy sat next to her on the couch and the naked duo talked.

After a little while, Courtney came to an understanding to what Tracy was saying, or at least she believed the lie. “So, in short, I think some of the looks and questions you’ve been getting from teaching a class based around sexual activity and stuff could be a root of your hallucinations. You do what you think is best, but I’d try to rest and relax.” Tracy finished up what was a pretty believable story that you wouldn’t have to be as oblivious as Courtney to listen to. Tracy held back a little from going too far into depth. She both wanted to keep her from talking to someone else about it and didn’t want to hurt her beyond humiliation and embarrassment.

“Ok, but I can’t exactly avoid it. What do I do?”

“I’m going to ask the principal if you can leave early today. If the answer’s no, we’ll just have to ignore it for the rest of our classes.” Tracy left, closing the door fully before finally getting a breath to think and actually cover/warm herself. She made towards the principal’s office.
