Bringing her left thumb to the box, you watched as she pressed down on the spike instantly drawing blood. Rolling her thumb, she completely covered the digit in the viscous liquid. Withdrawing her thumb, she turned the box towards you.

Nervously your finger moved till it was centimeters above the spike. Stopped by fear, your thumb quivered till you heard Eva’s voice.

“It’s okay roo-roo, I’m here.”

Slightly comforted by her words, you pressed down. Mimicking her movements. You withdrew your bloody thumb.

Pushing your digit into the thick stock of the paper, it greedily absorbed the blood. Leaving a perfect thumbprint behind.

Turning the contract towards her, you smiled at Eva.

She smiled back and sealed the deal.
