A couple dildos

Katie does her best to suppress a playful laugh, holding two of Karen's toys, that she's pulled from the cabinet, one purple and sparkly, the other jet black and very expensive looking.

Karen doesn't seem that embarrassed. She shrugs, "You find my actual plans for tonight, is what you found." She pours the wine. "And don't judge. You've got hot stuff over there." Karen gestures toward you, "And I've got a night with the kid out of the house and a job that doesn't exactly give me time to pick up guys."

You can't help but wonder if she was just making a point or if that 'hot stuff' comment was a little tipsy slip. And admission that she really does find you attractive. Maybe she was flirting that day.

"I'm not judging" Katie says, putting the toys down. "I feel bad that we kept you from this. It looks like a pretty fun night."

Karen hands Katie her glass of wine. You're content to just watch this whole thing play out. "Well..." Karen blushes a little. It's kind of adorable watching a woman of her age and status blush. "I'm probably gonna get to it when you leave, anyway." She takes a long sip of wine. "Just like you two are, I'd think."

You and Katie exchange glances. It's been a long, exhausting day. And it's so late it's early. "I dunno, we're pretty exhausted."

"No!" Karen sits up, feigning outrage, "It's his fucking birthday! You'd better! If you don't, he can stay here and I will!" She laughs.

And Katie gets silent. She seems lost in thought.

Karen just sort of starts talking to herself, laughing. "That could be a thing. They should make an app for that."

"What?" You ask.

"Guy sharing. Like ride sharing. You just put in what you want and the nearest guy gets sent over." You're almost positive Karen wouldn't be having this conversation if you all weren't a few bottles deep.

"I'm pretty sure that already is a thing" You say, feeling clever, pretending to over-explain. "I believe it's called 'swinging' and I'm not certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had an app."

Karen chuckles. Katie doesn't respond. So you turn and see her still deep in thought.

"Hon?" you say. "Katie?" And finally she looks up, and speaks.
