A confrontation

You walk out of the room and see your friend James waiting for you, sitting on one of the waiting chairs. "Hey John. Is everything ok??". James asked with a worried tone.

"Yes, I'm fine James. I feel much better now, Nurse Peaks took good care of me. I have another checkup next week to make sure I am all ok." You don't want to tell James what exactly happened as you are not sure how he will react. To be honest you are still trying to wrap your head around what happened and you are not sure how to proceed from here.

You had spent most of the day in the medical bay resting so you missed some of your classes. Hopefully, it doesn't count as a negative on your end-of-term report, as you had no control over the situation. Your timetable remaining for the day is free so you decide to head to the library to find more information if there is any about magic amulets. As you walk to the library you take a moment to think about what has occurred. Do you really have the power to alter people's minds and how they feel, or was this just a cruel trick on you? Either way, your encounter with Mrs Peaks has left you hungry for more. You want to become more powerful, and more dominating and there is a lot of food out there to satisfy your hunger. You need to train with the amulet on and see how it works, but who? who is an easy target?

"Hey!" Someone breaks your train of thought and you look and see it is the guy who told you to look for the amulet.

"So did you find it? Did you? I need it man tell me you found it please."

Shit, the amulet is yours now, you can't really take it off but you can't tell him that or else he will think he stole it from you.

"No man, sorry I couldn't find it at all. Why is it so important anyway? Cant, you just get a new one?" Hehe, A little lie never hurt anyone.

"It was gifted man, from a good friend. Oh man I'm so screwed. Shit shit shit" He says in a very worried tone, he is panicking and looks like he is hiding something from you. You better not push it further or you might be stuck in a situation that you don't want to be in.

"Right... Well sorry man, if i see it I will let you know. Whats your name anyway?"
