A compromise.

"How about I send Copper with you" you suggest again.

"Copper" she asks tilting her head.

"Oh right...you haven't met my raptor" you smile.

"He'll love you I'm sure, and I know I can command him to protect you should Boris try anything funny...er...would he be able to fit in Boris' house" you ask.

"Oh yes" Annabel muses "if there is one thing Boris is known for it is doing everything big. Copper would be able to follow me in. Ok, Copper can come with me" she smiles. Suddenly she gets a bit more bashful. "And thanks for caring about my safety so much" she says looking at you with a shy smile.

"You're family basically" you respond feeling a little blush creep up your face. "So I don't want anything bad to happen to you, and that guy gives me the feeling he'd try something. I don't want to have to kill anyone today" you half joke. Annabel's face grows serious.

"Would you actually kill someone that hurt me" Annabel asks looking into your eyes.

"I don't want to kill anyone, but if they hurt you or Yvette I'd consider it" you answer honestly "depending on what it was they did obviously".

"I...that's..." Annabel stammers.

"Scary, endearing...confusing" you answer for her a little solemnly. Annabel nods her head lost in thought. "Look" you start "I don't want to make you feel awkward or uncomfortable around me" you continued.

"Stop..." Annabel interrupted "I'm a big girl and can handle being around someone like you...an...adventure seeker" she says holding her hand up to stop you. "I know there is the possibility of being in danger around you...but I don't care. I want...I need to be with you" she stares into your eyes.

"I understand" you reply "It is happening very quickly, and that is scary, but just know I would never intentionally put you in any danger" you try to comfort her.

"I know...you're one of the good ones" she replies wrapping her arms around herself.

"Gods, if we don't stop chatting we're never going to get things done" Annabel exclaims running over to her cabinet and putting on some clothes. You and Yvette stand and go collect your clothes to put on. Soon all three of you are ready for the day.

"Oh...here" Annabel says reaching into her cabinet and placing a leaf in your hand. You look at what she gave you. It's two leaves. You look at her confused.

"One for each of you. You chew on them, but don't swallow unless you want to throw up. They'll clean your teeth" she smiles and you see she has been chewing on one. You hand one to Yvette and you both pop them in your mouth and begin chewing. Unsurprisingly it is a minty flavor and your mouth begins to feel pretty refreshing.

"So how should we do this" you ask.

"Well why don't we go collect Copper" Yvette starts "then Annabel can go see Boris, and we'll go collect a pack to put my sword in" she continues. "Then we can meet up at the Drunken Rex after, and then go see Jane together" she finishes.

"Sounds good to me" you reply and Annabel nods in agreement. "Shall we" you motion for the bedroom door. With that your group heads out into town to carry out the plan.
