A cold place

Cindi dropped a few feet into ice cold water. She gasped for air as she surfaced, her body almost going into shock at the freezing temperature.

‘What happened? Where am I?’ She thought while treading water and spitting out some salty water.

She could see the tops of trees off in the distance, their leaves fallen off. There was nothing else sticking out of the water, so she swam in their direction.

Not long after she started her body started to shiver, but she kept on going. Finally she managed teach the trees and spotted one with a branch at the water level.

Cindi pulled her body out of the freezing water onto an ice cold dead branch. She scooted up the branch until reaching the trunk, her while body shivering.

Looking around, she saw nothing but water and submerged trees. A vast ocean forest.

Unfortunately for Cindi she was far from civilization in this flooded world and there was nothing for her to cover up with. She lost consciousness upon that branch and never awoke.
