A classy night for a classy lady

You spent several days wracking your brains for date ideas. Irena is special, so your normal, “pizza and a movie” standby probably won’t be sufficient.

Then, one day as you are walking back to the frat house, you have a stroke of genius.

You’ve seen posters around campus for a couple weeks for a premiere coming to the school’s theater, which is of some repute. It’s the opera “Tanz der Vampire”, about an innocent girl who is seduced by a darkly charismatic vampire Count, as two ineffectual vampire hunters try to “save” her.

It’s perfect. Not only is it that extra level of thought and planning, which will show her how much you care about her, but the subject material, an innocent girl submitting to a more powerful man, should definitely get her motor running for later that night.

Sometimes you impress even yourself.

You text Irena to let her know:

You: Friday night is the premiere of tanz der vampire at the preforming arts center, interested in going?

Irena: OMG yes! That sounds like so much fun!

You: Great! Curtain goes up at 8, so how about I pick u up at 6:30 so we have time do go to dinner beforehand?

Irena: You’re so good to me daddy :P

After talking with Irena, you get on the phone with Carl, an old fraternity alumni you knew gave a lot to the school, and so had standing box seat tickets for premieres.

You were in luck! Carl and his wife would be out of town all week, and so he was happy to let you use the box seat tickets. Brotherhood at its finest.
