A call from Suzy

My wife gets called out of town for the week and, not entirely trusting her youngest daughter, arranges for Michelle to stay with a friend for the duration of my wife's absence.

I had just dropped my wife off at the airport and had not been home for more than five minutes when my wife's middle daughter Suzy called. Seemed her and her no account husband had finally had enough of each other and she wanted to know if her and her two year old and her new baby could stay at our house until she got back on her feet. No problem, I told her.

Pretty soon, there was a knock on the door.
