A Walk Through Town( And Inner Monologuing)

Jade made her way through the sights of her college town. It wasn't really a town per-say, Miamfrancisco was a pretty large place and it had something for everyone. The part she lived in was the college area and it is what some would consider an unofficial town within the city and it was awesome. There were some nice beaches, a movie theater, a pretty big luxury mall and even transit to the bigger parts of the city where big companies worked out of. It was only a 20-minute commute to the best clubs and restaurants around. She continued.

She got a bit further out and passed the golf resort Marasco Country club and spa. It was kind of the gem of the area. Unfortunately, it was owned by such a sleaze ball, but considering Steven Myers was the uncle of Jason, it wasn’t hard to believe.

It wasn’t the only thing though; Jade frequented the bars and mall when she needed retail therapy. It was also was close by Snorty’s where she worked since she was 18. Couldn’t put in too many hours now but when she does work, it’s a blast with Selene. But then there was Sophia, who had just started working there. She was Jason’s little sister who was quite the piece of work. Never does any work but gets by because she has “meetings’ with the manager.

This was Miamfrancisco version Beaverly Halls. They were some large houses big enough to dwarf the dorms and other house mere yards away. This where the big shots from the city lived, they were all tucked away down in a gated community far from the ruckus of the college. And of course, this was where the Myers family lived.

She rolled her eyes as she passed the roads leading up to the high-end estates. She chuckled to herself to think of how funny it was for Jason to get home with a crummy van from his uncles work. His dad Jonathan must really be pissed off at him for crashing his mustang. But considering he wasn’t in jail he should count his blessings.

This is what troubled Jade most. It was how much influence the family had. His father, Jonathan Myers, was the senior partner of Myers and Steadman, the biggest law firm in the state. And which was where Mike was given his internship at thanks to Jason this trapping her in the deal. He also had friends on the board of the school so he could pretty much do anything he wanted. She even wondered how much influence they had over her father’s who works in the admissions office.

Only person that wasn’t much of a threat was Jonathan’s wife Francesca. The Brazilian model had been married to the man for less than 1o years and was more interested in spending her days tanning and getting pampered. She wasn’t an awful person, just a bit stuck up, but she wished she was able to say that about Jason’s real mother.

Jillian Myers was the ice queen of Miamfrancisco. She would basically be the devil wears Chanel. After she left Jonathan and took her large sum of money after she bought out of her fathers portion of Myers and Steadman, she invested it and become a rival of Marasco to not only spite her Ex-husbands brother but to create a spa empire in the state . She was a beast in business, and you did not want to get on her bad side. She made the mayor cry once.

After rambling on in her head (And filling you, the reader, in on her world) she finally gets home.
