What's next?
A Sweet Smile
"Weren't you wearing a yellow T-shirt when you came in?"
"Yes! Have you seen it?"
"Do you know, I think I have."
"You have? Where?"
"Over there," said Nathan, pointing to a very tall tree all the way down the other end of Sideshow Alley. Emily looked at the milling crowds, the thronging hordes of fair-goers, that she would have to cross to get to it.
"Can you fetch it for me?" she said.
"I wish I could," said Nathan. "I'd love to make this situation easier for you. Anything I can do, you only have to say the word. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to leave the funhouse."
"Can you call someone else to get it for me?"
"Don't have a phone."
"Maybe you could ask a guest?"
"But they're not trustworthy. What if they ran away with your shirt, instead of bringing it back? Then you'd really be in a pickle."
"Well, do you have anything I could wear to go and get it?"
"Only my shirt and pants," said Nathan, "and I'm not allowed to take off my shirt and pants while I'm working at the funhouse, in case I make the fair look bad. And, of course, I'm not allowed to leave the funhouse. But I do have something just as good."
"What?"
Wordlessly, Nathan handed her a metal cylinder. Emily looked at it.
"That's..." she said, trying to look on the bright side. "That's exactly what I wanted." She looked up into Nathan's puppy-dog eyes. He looked so cute, so eager to please. She couldn't disappoint him by saying no to his gift. He was doing his best to help her! And, after all, she didn't have a choice. Unless she wanted to stay in here until sunset, and then sneak out in the dark.
"By the way," said Nathan, "you can't stay in there until sunset. Health and safety regulations. In fact, you have to come out in five minutes, no matter what you're wearing."
"Oh."
Four minutes and forty-five seconds later, the door swung open and Emily stepped out. She knew Nathan had done his very best, but she couldn't help wishing he had done just a little bit better. And that there had been a little more in the can.
She was standing on the porch of the funhouse, overlooking Sideshow Alley, in broad daylight, wearing nothing but a whipped cream bikini. Her breasts and pussy were covered, just about, but she could already feel the cream melting off her bottom. And there was a long walk ahead of her. Through a crowd. She hoped she'd still be wearing the bikini at the end of it.
She felt like she ought to be cross with Nathan, but then he looked at him, and his dorky little smile was so sweet it melted her heart. A guy as cute as him would never usually give her the time of day. She couldn't stay mad at him. Even when he plucked something off his face, and fixed it to hers.
"So everyone knows you work for the fairground," he said, smiling at her. "You know, it's funny."
"What is?"
"With that red nose on, you look exactly like a clown."
