A Quick Shortcut

I looked down at my watch and realized I was running about 30 minutes late on my commute. I had to get to work, and fast. The fastest way to work was to cut through rarely used walkway leading straight to my workplace at Wayne Financial in Gotham. People generally avoid it because shit, it's Gotham. You are liable to become a damsel-in-distress just by taking the wrong directions to work. But dammit, I am late, and I can't lose my job just weeks after getting it. I jumped over a few fences, dipped under a few railings, and made my way through Gotham City, checking my back all the way. On my way, something caught my eye. The buildings began looking more... dilapidated? Is that a word? A bad place is what I mean. They were overgrown with vines, and general shrubbery. Before I understood that, ya know, this was bad news, I fell into a cleverly hidden trap door, covered by leaves. I hit the ground hard, and passed out.
