A Long Walk

Clara and Alex made their way from the movie theatre. Time had passed, of course, and it was nearing noon. Clara walked a little unsteadily, her body still protesting the denial that had been forced upon it. She felt her nudity, the way that the dress clung to her body, to her breasts and to her long legs, was fixated in her mind, Her lower body was overflowing with desire and need. Clara forced herself to ignore it as best she could, focusing on simply placing one foot in front of the other. Alex was at her side, holding her hand. The feeling of his skin pressed against her own made her want to go further, to do more. But then, considering her current state, most things made her want to go further right now.

"There's a place nearby we can get some food." Alex said carefully. Even through the haze of arousal, Clara noticed that something was off about him. He seemed nervous. Almost more than he had been since they had started their game. She didn't know quite what to make of it, so remained silent. Watching him with interest as she tried to figure out what he was planning.

They talked and laughed as they went, joking and reminiscing. Though, it was largely Alex who was the motivating force in all of this, Clara enjoyed it enough to lose herself in it for a little bit. The two spoke of days long gone, and of long, distant holidays as children spent together with their group of friends. This was tinged with sadness, for many of those friends were now spread out and scattered. Adult life could often be hard on bonds forged in youth, and the twin needs for money and living space had pushed many of their old comrades far away indeed. Even Clara, who tended to be the social one of the two, had lost contact with many of her old friends. Alex and Clara spent a lot of that walk just talking about the past, about people who had come and gone, old friends and old rivals now long distant. For a little while, the idea of master and slave seemed to sink away, and Clara was even able to mostly ignore the aching desire that throbbed between her legs. The two were simply Alex and Clara, a couple who had grown up in the same dusty old town, and who were now reliving shared memories of the past.

Almost inevitably, the topic turned to Alex's brother, Daniel. Alex was used to this sort of thing by now. Most people tended to talk about his brother sooner or latter. Daniel Curren was several years older than his sibling, and considered to be an extremely intelligent individual. He'd been driven and focused, the sort of kid that the old town had seen once or twice a generation. Daniel was an achiever, a doer, the sort of person who had burned through school and college, treating work that others found so hard as if it were nothing. The sort of person that you always were told was in for great things in the future.

The sort of person you constantly got compared to if you were born after him. The fact of the matter was, Alex knew that he was not his brother. He wasn't as smart, wasn't as good at....well, everything. And that had caused problems. His family, loving as they had been, had simply no seen why they could not have two geniuses instead of one.

That had been one of the reasons he'd been so happy to get out on his own. Daniel himself was the sort of person that Alex had used to actually hate. For the longest time, Alex had cordially detested his brother, though lately, the two had reconnected in some ways. It was partially due to Daniel that Alex had the home he did now in the city. But at the same time, he was also constantly reminded that he was simply not up to his brother's standards. Daniel had a solid job with extremely good prospects of promotion. Soon, he'd be making money, a lot of it. Considering his intelligence, he was expected by everyone - including himself - to do extremely well in life, and end up rather highly positioned in whatever company he eventually settled into. Daniel was ambitious, and fit. he kept himself in a good shape, and he was sharp, intelligent, well learned.

Compared to all of that, Alex was...well, just Alex. He was fit, though not the fittest. Smart, but not the smartest. He could do pretty well for himself when he set his mind to it, but he was no genius. In everything that he could think of, he was second best.

Clara listened as he spoke of the past, noting the bitterness in his voice at times. Alex was a friendly guy usually, and often was overcome with nostalgia, but now and then, there was a darker shade to his memories, times that he preferred not to dwell in or events that he did not like to recall. Usually, these were when he had been directly compared to his brother. Clara did her best to talk him out of that dire mood, realising that she had accidentally out him into it. It was hard, but she was a social person, and she put herself wholly into the task. She teased him and joked with him, using all of her skills to lead the conversation. It took a while, and she even had to drop in some raunchy suggestions for later, but by the time they were approaching the restaurant, Alex was in a better mood again.

Clara shook her head when she was sure that her boyfriend was not watching. She'd had no idea that the emotions he felt in regards to his brother ran so deeply. She'd known the two had been compared a lot, of course. But she never realised just how personal it had been for him. Clara had often been compared to Lilly as she grew up, but that had been intentional. Lilly had always been her rolemodel. Lilly had been the one to inspire her and to give her confidence, to show her that she could do what she set her mind to do. Her sense of mischief and social abilities had been the origin of Clara's own. Always, she had thought that Alex and Daniel were similar, now she realised that this was not the case. Where Clara truly loved Lilly, Alex and Daniel shared a much more antagonistic situation.

Silently, Clara vowed to do her best to take Alex's mind off this for the rest of the night. the idea sent a spark of heat trailing through her spine, reminding her of her own needs as well. Yes, it would be quite nice if she was able to fulfil both goals.

"We're here." Alex said, breaking her out of her thoughts. Clara smiled at Alex, squeezing his hand slightly to show her connection.

"Well, oh master of mine?" She whispered into his ear, feeling his body tense at the contact. "Just what do you have in mind for me now, hmm?"
