Madeline shelled out a ton of caps to the Followers. They thanked her greatly. People on the street looked and pointed out Madeline and said "there is that girl to gave a shit ton of caps to the Followers--crazy broad." But Madeline didn't care--she was helping people. Maybe she did it naturally--maybe she needed to pay society back for her wrongs. Either way the Followers and those less fortunate were lucky for a while.
