A Kidnapping Investigation

Diana Prince stirred her drink idly. She was at some fundraiser being thrown by count something-or-other, the ambassador from the UK. As Themyscyra's ambassador and traveling royal family member, she simply _had _to be there. Even if she would rather be up on the tower waiting for any word on whether the missing White Martian colony had been located. Of course, in her starry black dress that showed off much of her famous figure, she was the object of occasional discussion and more then occasional stares. But, if Diana was interested in any of these "men", she might as well hang up her Wonder Woman identity now.

Out of boredom, she listened into a conversation between an Interpol Chief and the Ambassador from Markovia. If you asked Diana at that moment, she wouldn't be able to tell you anything about the country or it's ambassador besides the fact that he was a fat old man who kept on making sex eyes at her. But, on a more charitable moment she might recall that the Teen Titan Terra came from that way. The reason she was bothering was that the two were engaged in quite an interesting conversation.

"My government is pressing me for more information, you must understand."

"I do. I do."

"This girl was the daughter of a high ranking minister of state. If she isn't found soon, I can't keep an official statement from coming out for too long."

"I understand your frustrations. I do. To tell you the truth, whoever is responsible is a slippery customer. We're thinking maybe even a super villain."

"Bah. Supervillain. Like you couldn't call in fifty little heroes for help on an average Tuesday. Our intelligence suggests that hundreds of other women have gone missing too. Young. Pretty. How many must go before you are serious?"

Kidnapped women. Possible super villain. International implications. Diana Prince smirked to herself, but stayed out of the conversation. This seemed like a job for Wonder Woman...
