A Gungan.

The tall figure wailed in shock as our bodies touched and bumped off one another. His long flappy ears and his boggling eyes were the distinct look of a Gungan, but I would never imagine one being on a Nubian-class ship. This Gungan, wasn't like the Gungan I have seen in my childhood. Now calmed down from the little skirmish at the door, he greeted me kindly.

"Ello dair, hoosa are yousa?" he said in his native dialect.

"Hi I'm Padme," I replied.

"Meesa called Jar Jar Binks," he introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you Jar Jar," I said, "but why are you doing all the way out here?"

"Me no know. Wun meenit I'm here, den grabbing dat Jedi, now meesa heer," he explained.

"Wow, you must be terrified of what those things done," I sympatized.

"Its okay," he said.

"I don't mean to be stingy, but can you explain in detail how you got to this place?" I asked.

"Okee-dokie," he said in a friendly tone.

From what he could tell me, he was outside on a daily morning event of getting breakfast but he was interrupted by a huge machine. Brown like the ground and hovering over it like it was levitating, this machine ran through the forest cutting down everything in its path. His only option was to run.

Running as fast as his Gungan legs could take him, he stumbled upon the two Jedi, already engaged in a battle against droids on flying platform, with blaster fire flying past them. Since the older Jedi was in his way, he panicked and tackled the Jedi two the ground. Now on the ground his body was almost able to touch the underside of the machine. After the machine passed, the got up and they introduced themselves to each other.

After the formalities were over, the Jar Jar offered them a way to get to their destination, which was Theed. Jar Jar showed them the way to the Gungan city, located underwater in bubble-like structures in which they live in. They swam a short distance to get to the main plaza of the city and once they got there, they got a less than usual greetings. With a pole shock, a Gungan guard warned Jar Jar that, since he was exiled for being clumsy, he mustn't show his face ever again.

Not keen to taking outsiders in or letting banished people be in the city, the Gungan guards led them to the monarch of the Gungan race. Boss Nass was his name and he ordered Jar Jar to be arrested and confined. But with a light touch of Jedi mind tricks, the Jedi ordered Jar Jar to be free and transportation to Theed be provided.

Now piloting the Gungan submersible, the two Jedi and Jar Jar navigated through the underwater core of the Naboo planet dodging big to gigantic sea monsters with large teeth and limbs.

It took them less time to get to Theed than expected and all that happened next I knew. The Gungan's story provided a good thing to think about while I was busy cleaning up the droid that repaired the ship in mid-flight, whose name was R2-D2.

After cleaning the droid up to his elegant state he rolled away and to his storage cabinet. Still dressed as the Queen's handmaiden I went to look for the Jedi.
