A Dom track...

You hook the player up to your screen and grab your own pair of headphones. Time to see what was hidden in those files... but first you had to select a Track. You tap the last used Track and peruse the modifiers.

You feel a little ill examining the settings. "It's almost like they're trying to program people..." Which was of course impossible. Of course. This looks like the Track the girls at the warehouse were watching. You don't feel quite right watching that one. Call it superstition but you just couldn't bring yourself to press play. Rationalizing it as running a "thorough investigation", you click through some of the options till you have the following Track and modifiers:

This is the Track with the fewest modifiers and you feel a little safer viewing it. Compared to some of the longer ones this was practically tame. It's also the only Track you've seen that has a slider. "Maybe they got lazy?" You wiggle it around a bit before leaving it next to the "Les" option, chuckling a bit to yourself, "Maybe it won't flash dickpics at me now." Bracing yourself, you click the “Play” button and slip on the headphones.

Nothing happens. You frown, looking closer. In the depths of the monitor you can see a faint shimmering, like far away waves moving in a dark night. You lean in farther, trying to make out anything else. Was this it? You feel your curiosity ebb, like it was offended at finding so little. No... no, there has to be more. You look closer and the shimmering seems to become clearer but makes no more sense than before... then the music kicks in. Boombom... Boombom... It sounds almost like a heartbeat, strong and relaxed.

It was oddly comforting. You feel your muscles relax, your frown fades as your tension dissipates. It wasn’t so bad, watching the waves shimmer in the screen. It’d be even better with the lights off. You edge out of your seat, not taking your eyes from the screen as you stretch for the light switch. It’s difficult because you can’t take the headphones off but you manage, letting out a contented sigh as the rest of the room goes dark and you can focus on the delightful swirls of color that were creeping onto the screen...
