8 Days Later

The first week was the best week of your life. You tried your hand at all of the Big Barn chores at least once, so now you were quite familiar with milking the cows, massaging the horses, gathering the chicken eggs, shearing the sheep, tending to the pigs, and even hunting wild truffles in the nearby woodland.

It was a good week. And the rest of your life looks like it will be just as good, if not better. What a wonderful thing it is to be a farmer...

Morning sunlight peeks over the distant hills and the sense of a brand new day stirs you awake. You're already all smiles as your eyes blink open, a comforting weight in the bed next to you, just like the morning before. She is still asleep and you can hear her breathing. You had shared the bed with her for the past two nights. She became your fast favorite over the week, and though you have a sense that there may be a shifting roster of favorites as weeks go on, right now she is definitely at the top of your list. She was so happy to follow you out of the Big Barn the last two nights after the day's work was done... and you fucked like crazy back in the farmhouse.

You roll over, watching the beauty sleep next to you.
