509 B.C: Birth of the republic

Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, the last king of Rome and a violent, repressive tyrant, has been out of the city after his son's of a respected noblewoman. In his place, several nobles have gathered together to form a republic. However, many dislike the new idea of democracy, and plot to crown a new king. Meanwhile, the old king looks on his former lands, eager to take back what was once his, and have on those who would dare take his birthright. Will you help this new republic thrive, or destroy it and take power for yourself?
