31% oppose vs 69% support

A week later, on a Friday, the second referendum on the interracial sex mandate was held. Many students came to vote and like expected, many students came to protest.
School security was set to patrol the voting booths just in case the ‘white for whites’ decided to make a ruckus.
They did indeed come and were quite vocal, even violent. Some of these students had taken stones and sticks with them to use as weapons. Luckily the school security was well equipped to deal with these troublemakers. Eve didn’t want to think what could have happened if she had not requested this type of safety precaution from Mrs. Carpenter.
Instead of breaking up the place, the ‘white for whites’ started yelling to all the white voters that since the white girl Wednesdays have started 3000 of the white girls had become pregnant and only white girls. They even suggested the condoms provided on the third white girl Wednesday had been sabotaged to further the committee’s desire to black breed all the white girls.
This ‘conspiracy against the white race’ of theirs was of course a big fat lie. Eve just hoped not too many students would believe their lies.

The next two days, the student council took time out of their weekend to count the votes. The Monday of the week after the results were published for all the students to see.

At the end of the report Eve also had the student council state how many students had actually gotten pregnant.
Accidental pregnancies.
White girls 213, black girls 20, Asian girls 18, Arab girls 2, Latina 10.
Total students accidentally impregnated 263.

Eve is ecstatic when she sees these numbers. The mandate might have failed, but only by 1.1%. One more white girl Wednesday should be more than enough for that last push. Then finally all students will experience diversity.

But that is running ahead. Eve first needs to convene with the leaders of the support and oppose side. As a matter of fact, Eve is a bit worried about that meeting.
Last time she saw James he was not only drunk but also seemed like he has lost hope. Does he still even represent the oppose side?
