(Fan-created branch) Brielle at church camp

Brielle seemed to be in her element at church camp. It was almost like she was leading a double life. On one hand there was the love of her life, Jillian. On the other there was the church. She sought constantly to find a delicate balance between the two, never realizing for a moment that all her efforts only compounded the situation which ultimately turned her entire life into one big lie. "You cannot serve two masters," Pastor George had said. She knew the pastor was probably right, but she had to try any way.

Brielle's love for Jillian ran deep. From the moment they met, she knew deep down inside there was no one else for her but Jillian. All the mind-blowing sex they had together reinforced the deep feelings she had. She loved Jillian so much it hurt. Even now it hurt to be away from her.

As much as Brielle loved Jillian, she also loved the church and the work she did for it and Pastor George. Many of the church's doctrines were part of her own belief system. To her all life was sacred, and she often found herself protesting outside of abortion clinics to that end with many of the church's other members. Yet she couldn't help but feel like a plank eyed saint with a heart divided. She often found herself questioning the protests. The God she knew is a God of love. What did carrying signs and blocking building entrances have to do with that love? Nothing was the answer she always came up with. But what if they threw down their signs, dared to reach out across the lines they drew in the sand and loved others like Jesus did? Their protests only told what the church was against and not what it was for. It was because of this she could totally understand Jillian's resentment toward the church.

All these thoughts came flooding into Brielle's mind at the same time. If there was one thing she wished she could do, it would be to reform the church. It was at that moment she decided to pull off her great deception. On the last day of church camp, she would come forward and renounce her lifestyle and tell everyone she and Jillian were going to change their ways. Maybe then so many in the church would not look down on her and they would accept her which might give her more influence in the church to promote the kind of change she envisioned. Little did she know the can of worms she was about to open for herself.
