“What’s going on with me?”

There’s one question that has been on your mind since this whole adventure started. “What’s going on with me?” It seems strange to hear your own voice again. In many ways, your body is more of a stranger to you than the others you have occupied. Since this bizarre experience began, you have spent less time in your own body than you have in complete strangers.

Dr. Burbank nods at your question. “Not surprising you should ask that. I wish we could give you all the answers, but we are still trying to determine what all has happened. I assume you have surmised that due to a rather unexpected turn of events, you were subjected to a combination of chemicals and electromagnetic stimulation that had decidedly unforeseen consequences. We believe this may have awoken dormant portions of your brain, unlocking abilities far beyond our wildest imagination.”

“How long?” you ask. “I mean, did you fix it? Do I still have those powers? And what the hell was going on with the way I was thinking? I was doing things with — and to — people that I would never have thought of doing.” You look regretfully at Amy, wanting to apologize, but not knowing how to even begin to express the words.

“We have a lot more testing to do to answer your questions,” says Burbank. “We do believe that in addition to unlocking these psychic powers, the experiment also triggered feelings of aggression, paranoia, and **** libido. Your vitals have stabilized since your mind returned to your body. Whether this means you are ‘cured,’ or not remains to be seen. You do seem to be more trusting, in any event. How do you feel otherwise?”

You assume he is referring to your compulsive horniness of the past couple of days. “I seem to be — well — more or less back to normal,” you reply, sheepishly. The mere fact that you are again embarrassed to be talking about sexual things tells you a lot about how ‘normal’ you are feeling.

“Then I think the best thing is for you to get some rest while we figure out what to do about Mr. Davis,” says Burbank. “Hopefully we can return him to his girlfriend and find some way to overlook the things he did when he was not quite himself.”

Burbank turns his attention to Jeff and Amy, leaving you to ponder his explanation.
