“We are the Bronsons.”

The woman stares at you for a moment sizing you up, then lowers her gun and says, “We are the Bronson’s. My name is Liz, this is my husband John and my daughter Jaci.”

You lower your own weapon and say, “I’m Alex. These two are Grace and Tomi as you point to each of the girls in turn.

Grace starts right in talking, “We have a place nearby with plenty of room. You could come stay with us and get out of the basement.”

The man, John says, “That might be nice Liz. Have some other people around. It might make things safer. “

Liz was not buying it, “They’ve searched this place twice, you saw the mark on the front door, and they didn’t find us. We’re safe here, right under their noses.” Turning toward John she added, “We don’t know these people, we can’t trust them, especially this potential ****.” She says gesturing with the shotgun toward you.

You remember there being two slashes in red spray paint on the front door. You hadn’t realized what they meant. You also realize that there are none on the building you are staying in. You break into their conversation, “One, I’m not a ****, you can ask Grace and Tomi, Second, do you know where they’re based”.

Liz answers you, “I've followed a group back and they’re about three miles to the north of here. There’s a National Guard barracks and nearby highschool that they have turned into their base. It's on a hill, and they can see pretty far into the distance from the tops of the buildings they occupy. They look to have 50 or so men with guns, and maybe three times that many people they use as **** labor. They have some military vehicles and weapons that are set up around the perimeter. It looks bad for anyone that wanders too close.

Tomi, says, “That’s why I think we should get out of here. Get far away from these murderous rapists. Our luck will run out at some point and you two men will be dead and we’ll be gang ****.

You see the girl, Jaci grab at her mother’s arm fear on her face. “Mom, that won’t happen will it.”

Tomi continues to talk, “Well it happened to me already. We need to stay away from men. They will want to **** us all if they get the chance.”

Grace breaks into Tomi’s grim description, “Well let’s stick together and make sure that doesn’t happen. What do you guys think,” she says looking at John and Liz.
