Chapter 3

What does he say?
“Sure” (And da rules) {Turns into Quartet}
Phillip smirked and ran to the grass, sitting under a tree. Henry followed with a grin. He knew he should have went to the frat house. What could one peak do anyways?
As Phillip set the game down the world seemed to go quiet. Neither of them payed much attention as the muscular guy grabbed the lid. “They say we will be cursed if we play.” Phillip looked at Henry with a devious grin.
“It’s just a legend. Hell, we aren’t really playing right now are we?” Henry knelt down on the grass with his own devious grin. “Go on, open it.”
The lid flipped open, the air growing warm around them. “Woah.” Henry leaned over to see what Phillip saw. He blinked noticing a board still had pieces on it, cards sitting in a perfectly straight deck off on the side of the board. As if they weren’t walking around with the thing haphazardly. “It’s true. They never did finish.”
Henry spin around in fear when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Except he didn’t see anyone. “Uhh, Phillip?” Henry moved closer to the muscular man as he kept looking back where the hand touched him. “I know it’s stupid but I think I just felt someone grab my shoulder.”
Phillip didn’t even look to Henry as he stared at the game a little dazed. It was hard to believe the game was as old as the school. The pieces looked to pristine, so new. “Uh huh.” He reached out a little to grab a token from the side dish in the box.
He twirled the two around in his hand. A little fox mid pounce and a peacock. They were so finely made he could even see each feather of the peacock was crafted to perfection, all different pieces of the statue. “Put those down!”
Henry swatted the prices his hand almost smashing the fox in the process. The tokens fell to the board with a loud clatter. Phillip turned to Henry with an annoyed glare. “What the hell! Just because you think you felt someone doesn’t mean you can slap someone. I was looking.”
Henry glared right back his annoyance masking his fear. “It isn’t my fault that game is actually haunted! I know what I felt! We should just return the game!”
“Return the game?” Both Henry and Philip jumped and looked over at a guy. He had a bit of stubble and looked well dressed for being out this late. His voice sounded oddly more powerful than a normal guys, a slight accent paired with it.
“Doofus. Can’t you pay attention to our card? They were clearly referencing where they got our board.” Henry looked at the other guy, his heart pounding in fear. The guy was clean shaven and had a wicked smile that was almost hypnotic. It made his face perfectly framed with the bangs he had. The accent was similar to the other guys, only not as domineering. He had on a neat outfit, as if he came from a masquerade ball. Which now made sense with the other guys outfit.
Phillip looked next to him when they mentioned the board, only it wasn’t there anymore. Instead it sat in between them all, the peacock and fox tokens now at the start. Even scarier was the fact the characters were moving, as if they were alive. “What the!”
Everyone turned to Philip, the two new guys looking with a confused stare. “Phillip?” Henry’s voice rose in nervousness, scared.
“Henry! The- the game just teleported.”
“What odd accents.” The other man grumbled in agreement. “They must not know what the game entailed.” The clean shaven guy smirked at the two guys eyeing them up and down.
The other guy scoffed, his powerful voice ringing through the night air. “Like we did either. Blair, why don’t you explain to these two time travelers your card.”
Henry stood highly uncomfortable. “Time travelers?!” The guy with stubble eyed down Henry, his face turning to a confused smile.
“Yeah, what’s the future like? Henry, your name was it?” Henry looked around confused, but blinked staring at the small buildings where once massive dorms were.
“Y-you. You were the original players of the game?!” Henry started to pace a hand in his hair. “Oh my god. What is happening?” Phillip stood up and grabbed the nerdish boy into a hug, trying to calm him.
“It’s alright. We’re fine. Lets just find out what’s happening. Okay?” Blair grinned watching them. “Let’s just talk to them, okay?” Philippic turned to Blair, his voice steady. “Why are we here? What card?”
Blair didn’t respond and instead giggled. “Are you two a couple?” The domineering man just groaned at that, covering his face in embarrassment. “Look Zeke, the future is open!”
“Blair! You can’t just tell them that!” Blair pursed his lips at the guy. “What if they kill us now!”
“That would be against the rules.” The two started arguing random nonsense as the two guys stared confused and embarrassed.
“Uh, no. We just met, like today.” Both of the bickering guys turned to Phillip. Zeke pointed with his eyes as if he was proving he was right to Blair. “And uh. Okay what the fuck is happening? Please just tell us?”
Zeke let out a groan and stood up with his hand out, knowing Blair wouldn’t actually help. “Hi I’m Zeke.” Phillip shook the hand, assessing the other guy was much stronger than him. “And that is my idiot boyfriend Blair.”
Blair waved and Henry waved back nervous. His stress still high. “So, why are we here.”
“Blair drew a card that said we would get players who were playing from the same board. And since you just pooped into existence and the…” Zeke looked at Philips boyshorts, “futuristic wear we assumed.”
Philip nodded still just as confused. “Im Philip and this is Henry.” They nodded and Phillip continued, “we were going to play this game as a joke.”
Zeke sat back down, stretching a little. “Shits no joke. What you grab happens. Of course we just started but after you guys, we know it’s real. When the game is over everything should revert, right Blair?”
Blair hummed. “I don’t know why you are mad. It would be fun to keep it all.” Henry sat down next to Phillip, the man becoming his anchor. He was to scared to really process much. That was until a voice came from the board.
“Welcome to Male Paradise. In this game you will find some fun scenarios to experience. That being said we have some rules to go through!” Philip looked at the board with wide eyes but the other two just sat through it with bored faces.
“Rule 1: No one is allowed to quit prematurely. If someone attempts to stall the game they will be **** to play. Rule 2: To move one has to draw a card. Don't worry after that it is all automated. Rule 3: To win reach the center of the board. Rule 4: The winner decides if the scenarios stay. Rule 5: Have fun!” Zeke had glared at Blair on the fourth rule.
Blair opened his mouth to speak but was stopped by the board, “To make sure everyone gets the most out of their cards we have instituted a new rule: When everyone has drawn a card the game will be paused for 24 hours.” Zeke felt his anger explode as he slammed his fist to the ground.
“That fucking game! I was hoping to get done tonight!” Blair just looked at the board with a happy face. “I bet your just so happy!”
“Of course I am. Now we get to actually use these cards. What’s the point in me getting the Bubble card if you can’t enjoy it.” Blair winked and Zeke blushed. “Welp, seems like we get a full round in before starting the clock.”
Blair turned to Philip, a grin plastered to his face. “Go on Phillip. Lets see it.”
Phillip’s Turn.
