“Come here, I want to cuddle”

“Oh I picked a one from almost each genre, which one do you want to see?”

“hm, maybe an action movie this time?”

“How about fast and furious?”

“Sure why not, sounds like fun” She grabs on to my arm.

“Come on don’t be shy, come on to the bed with me” I chuckle

she giggles and climbs up and presses play on the movie and gives me a quick peck on the cheek

As the movie plays, we make jokes about the cliches and plot holes in the movie.

“John this is fun, but I’m really tired.” She yawns as the movie almost finishes.

“Hey it’s fine, just take a nap, you were awake for a long time. You can go back home if you want.”

“No I’ll sleep here, I like having your warmth.” She smiles as she closes her eyes.”

“Alright than, it’s fine. I like having you here too, sweet dreams.” Smiling and kissing her on the cheek.

“Mr.Harris? We have to have a checkup to see if you can leave.”

I gesture to the sleeping beauty that’s on top of me. “Yeah sure but let her just sleep there, she was awake for a long time.”

“Sure thing, just come with me.”

I gently peel myself off of Wendy “what kind of tests are we talking about?”

Slowly following him now able to walk.

“Well, mostly just mobility and things like, blood pressure, pulse, and seeing some other things to see if you can work.”

“Sounds good how long is this going to take?”

“At most an hour.”

About an hour of lifting, walking, light jogging and just relative tests with machines poking and prodding everywhere.

“You seem to be good to leave, a bit more rest and you should be fine. We’ll discharge you by 5 in the afternoon.”

“Thanks doc, oh when am I going to get the stitches removed?”

“Oh we gave you the type that dissolves after a few weeks. It’ll come off on it-”

A scream that sounds an awful lot like Wendy that comes from down the hell

“Get off of me!”

“Wendy” I start to run off

“Wait, slow down, you’re going to faint!”

Ignoring the doctor, I run back to my room and rush in.
