These Earth Adjuncts are numbered in the usual format e.g.= “Earth Adjunct No. 39”. residents of earth adjuncts are considering human beings and are afforded full human rights, including the ability to own characters. Most Earth Adjuncts are open to free travel and immigration, Earth Prime is an exception however. Seemingly in an effort to consolidate power, only RealDreams employees and their families are allowed to immigrate to Earth Prime. By 2021 it’s estimated that Realdreams employees comprise 6% of Earth Primes population.

* Portal creation technology is dependent upon and controlled by a “Portal Nexus” a colossal supercomputer complex with unimaginable processing power. A Nexus will transmit, or “cast” a portal to a suitable portal device. It is unknown to the general public how many Nexi currently exist across the multiverse, only one is officially acknowledged by Realdreams, and is located within their New York based headquarters on Earth Prime.

* A Portal device, often referred to as “Gates”, can take many forms from the classic ring configuration, to more unconventional pillar formations and arrays. A portal itself can be altered in appearance to near limitless effect, and with sufficient power can even be invisible to the naked eye, a portal device however is often difficult to hide. Portal devices are a highly controlled technology, they cannot legally be be operated by the general public.

* In January of 2021, RealDreams celebrated their 1 Billionth instance milestone. Having plundered thousands of fictional worlds for their characters, resources and technology each a thousand times over. With RealDreams operations expanding exponentially, it’s estimated that the number of universes plundered by RealDreams will exceed the human population of earth prime by 2027.

*The average Character extraction by an extraction team, from portal entry to exit, takes an average of 20 seconds to complete. These teams generally work with **** precision and stealth, and in a successful extraction the character should be unaware that anything has happened until the moment they are purchased. Amongst the thousands of extraction teams operating in 2021, though skill varies, they have an average failure rate of 3%. What is considered a failed extraction can vary by the standards of individual RealDreams outlets, however across the board any extraction that causes a Character Mental stress or physical damage is an absolute failure in the eyes of the company.

*Aside from being unfit for sale, there is no company wide policy for dealing with the “Botch Characters” resulting from failed extractions. The humane method is to simply chuck them back into their universe and erase their instance from the record, Sometimes team leaders will give out these botch characters as a work bonus to their team members. In other cases the more prestigious teams that have a reputation to uphold usually sedate them and throw them in the trash, where they are quickly whisked away by garbage crews and dumped into landfill universes.
