'splainin'

Lynn was groggy from her hangover and had to hold onto the railing as she walked down the stairs. She found her mom sitting at the kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee. Her mom sat back and crossed her arms. "Well, get to it," she said to her daughter.

"Mom, I'm NOT gay," said Lynn trying not to blush as she thought about all the things she had done with Ms. Cooper and other girls. "We just got drunk and well, one thing led to another and we were being silly."

"Silly, eh?" said her mom. "You know how I feel about homosexuality. What exactly did you do?"

Lynn knew her mom disapproved of gays and lesbians and even worked to get an anti-gay marriage proposal on the state ballot. She dared not tell her mom everything. "We just made out and... ran our hands over each other after we got drunk. It was harmless."

"Where did you get the booze?"

Lynn lied again. "From a kid at high school whose older brother works at a liquor store."

"Well, for the next month, it's nothing but school and work for you young lady. NO exceptions!"

"Yes, ma'am." Lynn turned and left. She was feeling a bit angry. She was 18. She loved being with Ms. Cooper. She loved feeling up Maddie. So what if her mom was a prude when it came to lesbian sex. Her mom was no saint. She walked into her room. Taylor and Brittnee were slowly waking up. Brittnee woke up and screwed up her face. Maddie who was now dressed, and Taylor, who was now awake but unaware of her new make up smiled at each other. Brittnee got up and ran into the bathroom. The girls laughed.

Taylor was furious when she saw herself and stormed out after getting dressed and trying in vain to wash off the permanent marker. She simply smeared it all over. Brittnee sulked off with her, and Maddie left too.

Later Lynn went into work. Ms. Cooper called her into her office. "Lynn, drop your pants and panties, and grab your ankles. You owe me for cutting off our conversation. Hop to it!"

"Mom, Ms. Cooper wants to talk to you tomorrow about me. She wants you to come to work with me."

"She did not say. You WILL love Ms. Cooper mom. You will find her very honest and will trust her completely."

"I have no reason not to," said Linda.

"I know, but Ms. Cooper is a great person. You'll see you can trust her, and you'll really like her, feel comfortable around her, and see she has tons of great ideas you'll agree with."

"OK, Lynn, I'm sold! I believe you."

The next day, Lynn's mom met Lynn at the mall and the two went into Ms. Cooper's store together. Ms. Cooper introduced herself and led Linda into her office as Lynn clocked in and got to work.
