Which star draws our viewership today?
'Oumuamua'
[Main storyline]
A mysterious and shiny extrasolar object was recorded to have entered and left our humble human solar system of Sol. From earth earth this was unremarkable and was passed on by scientists at the time as merely a asteroid hurled from somewhere far beyond our own backyard, but nonetheless a visitor nothing more.
And in this they were correct the object was never intended to stop in our midst at all, and did fling itself outward on a new orbit back into the interstellar abyss between our life giving celestial giant and others of its kind. But our great minds perhaps were negligent in considering what else might lurk in the grand void between worlds. A lurking danger may wait in the inky blackness, patiently observing it's noisy prey as it also plummets ever closer toward our fragile Sol.
Despite the darkness our humble marble continues its turning in ignorance of its impending doom for nearly a century until the second sign was found, an obelisk on an exoplanet 'Cigni' or planet X in 2134. Proving extraterrestrial Sentient lifeforms did exist, billions of years ago in our solar system. Further scrutiny of the planetiod did bring to light some anomalies, unusually high metal content for the super earth and most of it seems to be unfamiliar mineral combinations high in silicate.
The mystery continues as further expeditions explore the planets interior and uncover a intact metallic structure underneath the crust of the planet. Fanatics had already fictionalized the planet with occult following after discovering half of these anomalies and pilgrims of the 23rd century were numerous studying the impermeable object at the planets core. Studies from the Exo-Codex found on the surface determined that it was a 'guidestone' using mathematic algorithms to translate the strange writings on the obelisk to determine it was a map towards salvation and a warning if impending doom, detailing a new particle mathematically that had the unique capability of high energy potential despite possessing negative to zero mass.
This Z-particle was a potential energy source and the key to unlocking the distances between Stars. New technology was developed to make use of this and a new age was thought to have begun for humanity, but all greatness is marred by destruction. And with the advent of this particle the lurker awoke from its slumber and shed it's worldly coil, unfurling itself and beginning it's slow inevitable descent towards the sun approximating humanities extinction in 8.9 years, nearly a decade. In that time the same doomed lifeforms scramble for salvation and build their only hope, a Starship the most innovative in all it's design and capable of carrying only a select core crew.
For fairness, the collective solar seqor of commerce devised a lottery to determine the crewmen out of viable candidates that met both skill aptitude, but also genetic purity to best represent the last of humanity. You and the 99 of your fellow candidates were successfully chosen to 'man' the Starseeker, although through fluke of percentile or the meddling of a perverted god, the majority of the crew who 'manned' the vessel were indeed female at a 98% ratio, you were one of the few males on board, except for the stockpile of frozen semen they have for invitro when they complete their mission and arrive at the destination named Tau Ceti, more than 1000 ly away. And safe from the menace within the void, 'Oumuamua'.
Who are you and how did you get chosen for the 'Starthrust' program?
What perspective do you witness the climax of humanity?
Deepest Darkest
A sordid tale of the dark and devious, not for the faint of heart.
The stories within are meant to push the boundaries of comfortable fantasy and unlock a new realm of the bizarre, as a reader be advised you will not find nurturing soft eroticism in here, these stories are wild with erotic concepts and plays upon reality.
