'I just had to trust imagination.'
Well that didn't go well, but at least he now understands my point of view, well if he gets his head out of his ass that is. Okay I've still got some gift shopping to do and while I'm at it I might just go back to that art gallery I think I'm going to get something expensive to take home as a souvenir.
“Oh hello, so how is your head, did you get some relief?”
Crap! Walked straight into it, didn't even see her, Crap! “Patrice! Oh yes I'm a lot better thank you, can't stop, bit to do. Ya know, busy.”
Patrice looked like she'd swallowed some dog turd, “Well excuse me, I wouldn't want to hold your majesty up from doing your duty, I'm sorry for the intrusion, have a happy day.”
She immediately felt anger, the thought of being anything close to beholding to Patrice pissed her off as soon as the woman had finished her condescending apology. However the look of hurt on Patrice's face as she turned away couldn't be mistaken, She knew it was wrong, despite Patrice's dumbass attitude she didn't deserve this. Quickly reaching out and just lightly touching Patrice on the arm, making sure she did not grab the woman's arm, was enough for Patrice to turn back, “Patrice, wait. Look I'm sorry, I have no right to treat you like this, please I'm very sorry, this isn't me, I'm not normally like this, it's just the last few days have been a bit of a trial for me and my husband and we seem to be at odds lately. He just seems to be making a few horses-ass decisions of late.....” I kind of instinctively shivered, regained my equilibrium and then continued, “Anyway, I'm sorry Patrice, that's not your fault and I apologise.”
Patrice turned toward her and she recognised the regret in the womans eyes, the apologetic nature was evidence enough even for Patrice to recognise. “Look, it's fine maybe we, well maybe we got off on the wrong foot from the get go, shall we try again. Look I know I can act like a bit of a fruit loop, I'm sorry, it's all part of my impetuous nature so I'm told by my so called counsellor, WHO my husband found for me, donkey brained ass that he can be.”
Both woman stared at each other before bursting out in laughter.
“Ha ha ha oh well what a pair, my horse's-ass husband and your donkey-brained husband I guess at least we know we're both well versed in the equine world at least, he he he.”
I took a deep breath, gathered myself, “Patrice look I know this cute little art gallery with knick-knacks that's a quick taxi ride away I need to find a few gifts to take back with us, say, would you like to come and take a look, well, if you're not busy that is?”
“I'd love that, yes I would, let's go.”
