Eric froze.

He remembered a detail that he hadn’t considered in over 30 years.

It was April 1st when this all occurred.

He turned his head to Lexi.

Lexi just snickered and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

‘A magician never tells her secrets.’

She walked back to the guests, leaving Eric alone.

He smiled and took a sip of his drink.
